Enoris

Enoris is a facility (one of the largest in France) heating the cities of Massy and Antony, and is operated by ENGIE Solutions. 79% of the heat is generated from renewable and recovered energy and is distributed via a 35-km network throughout the municipalities of Massy and Antony. As a result, more than 20,000 homes, numerous commercial buildings, and public facilities are supplied with heating and domestic hot water.

The heat, primarily generated from the energy recovery of household waste and the combustion of wood chips, now consists mainly of recovered energy sources:

• energy recovery from household waste, which accounts for 52% of the energy used — 87,000 tons of waste recovered annually.

• “end-of-life” wood (accounting for 27%) which involves implementing an innovative recovery process that supports the local economy by utilizing an abundant resource.

The Bonde site consists of a household waste recovery unit with two boilers, each with a capacity of 11 MW, a wood-coal boiler room also comprising two boilers of 32 MW each, and two domestic fuel oil boilers.

The CamTrace solution was selected by Mr. Penteado, the site manager, and the management team to provide video surveillance for the site. The cameras were distributed across two servers: one manages the Axis PTZ outdoor cameras, and the other handles the site’s critical cameras. The latter record footage for one year, in accordance with Decree No. 2021-345, as video clips may be extracted and transmitted to law enforcement agents for the purposes of judicial or administrative proceedings. Indeed, law enforcement agencies are regularly required to incinerate seized narcotics, hence the high level of security at the site.

The Bonde site had already been equipped with a CamTrace video surveillance system since 2012, using CamTrace servers version 6. Today, Enoris has expanded its camera fleet and is using the latest versions of CamTrace SIRION 9.16 to take advantage of new software features and the integration of the VAPIX protocol, in addition to the ONVIF protocol, for advanced retrieval of data provided by Axis cameras. Security control room agents, who work in shifts 24/7, use the latest version 2.5 of the CamTrace Client to prevent on-site intrusions and quickly detect potential fires using thermal cameras
